With news reports and research commenting on the negative effects of young people viewing pornography, this is a presentation to look at the topic, underline the legal position and discuss healthy relationships and consent. It comes with an introductory and a plenary quiz on Forms (links to duplicate in the Teaching Notes) to ascertain understanding before and after the presentation. Women in Stem, which is a complete lesson and includes a preliminary quiz, which is then discussed as part of the lesson.
The Curie Women - the legacy of Marie Curie and her daughters
NASA Women - individual slides could be used as starters in Maths or Science lessons
Formidable Female Composers - this includes links to the music of the women mentioned and could work as a complete lesson or using individual slides and the relevant links as starters to inspire and support GB 3 and 4.

Sofonisba Anguissola - an introduction to a woman who made her own career in a time where court artists were predominantly men. This could support art and design with GB 3 and 4.
Our students are preparing for leaving home and facing all kinds of challenges, so this presentation is designed to help them to understand more fully the implications of drinking alcohol. It includes a PowerPoint presentation with optional discussion points and a video exercise with accompanying worksheet. The Teaching Notes include links to a preliminary and plenary quiz to duplicate on Forms to ascertain perceptions and ascertain the effectiveness of the lesson, as well as ascertaining what follow-up would be suitable.

Osteoporosis Week comes at the beginning of June, but this could be part of PHSE at any juncture. The lesson discusses what the condition is and how it can affect the body, but also looks at preventative members and poses the question of why young people should be thinking of this/be aware now. In many ways it contributes to supporting a healthy diet and exercise regime, also highlighting the contributing factors of alcohol and smoking, eating disorders and steroid tablets. There is a quiz on Forms to introduce students to thinking about the topic and the link to duplicate is in the Teaching Notes.

This presentation discusses the issues around Hate Crime and Disability, looking at what constitutes a disability and providing discussion points to consider various aspects of the question, including the question of advocacy and how to report or support someone experiencing such crimes. This lesson includes a presentation, discussion sheet and teaching notes with a link to a brief preliminary quiz on Forms. There are a range of discussion points to support understanding of what transgender and respect mean and looking at the wider context of hate crime.
This lesson is designed to raise awareness around the issues of hate crime on a basis of sexual orientation and gives opportunities to discuss why crimes may go unreported and what is being done to increase understanding around hate crime and reporting. This presentation could be used to promote women in science/STEM, accompany work on the composition of stars or generally inspire and demonstrate what women can achieve. It could contribute to Gatsby Benchmark 4. It is a brief introduction to the career of Cecilia Payne, who made some of the most fundamental discoveries regarding stars, including that their composition was predominantly Hydrogen, very much against the popular belief of the day that stars had a similar composition to the Earth.
